Morning Routines: The Only Way to Create your Perfect Day.

meditation1I apologize for my absence the past couple of weeks. I’ve been fortunate enough to make some powerful life changes. New House, new job, new city, new dreams and so much more! While my world has been turned upside down and I face the wave of changes I’ve learned to appreciate keeping certain things consistent. Of course I’m speaking of my morning routine.

Taking the time to give myself a short reiki chakra alignment, read a chapter from whatever book I’m reading and take the time to slowly sip my coffee helps me stay sharp and at peace through whatever my day may throw at me. I’ve compiled a list of other mindful tasks that my fellow spiritual climbers use to get their day heading in the most positive direction.

  1. Tea Drinking: An ancient Chinese secret that stands the test of time. learning to patiently wait for your water to reach the right temperature. Noticing the heat of the mug in your hands, slowly sipping and noticing the complex flavors warming your soul. How delicious does that sound?
  2. Smiling Buddah Kriya: Legend says this is what brought the original Buddha out of  suffering after his repenting fast. Instructions here.
  3. Write in your Gratitude Journal: Taking inventory of what’s wonderful in your life is a fantastic tool. I find using a physical journal as oppose to your smartphone or computer to be much more satisfying.
  4. Breathing: It sounds silly, but taking a few minutes to breath with intention and love is so often overlooked.
  5. Exercise: You know that time that you don’t have to work out? I’ve found it for you. It’s lost in the couple of hours you’ve been sleeping in and then frantically getting ready for work. By starting your day with some yoga, quick cardio or strength training you’ve set yourself up to be more energetic, clearer minded and more grounded to handle any surprises ahead of you.

Making the choice to have a great day starts in the morning. Any ideas on other great ways to wake up on the right side of the bed? Comment below.

Oracle card of the week 3/26

Humanity is experiencing a divide like we’ve never experienced before. We’re all fighting for what we believe in more passionately. While your voice is important there’s no solutions that can be reached by digging our heals into the ground and refusing to move. The only way out of this is to listen with compassion and be open to other ways of thinking. Stopping fighting for what you believe in and start loving for it. The world needs it now more than ever.

IMG_1747Another 2 card week ahead! There may be some situations where we will feel tempted to respond in anger. The only way we will pass these road blocks is by turning the other cheek and going forward with a loving heart. Always remember that anyone with the intention of causing you pain is in pain themselves. Let go of any unnecessary baggage and the weight of others negative energy. You owe it to yourself.

Love me back together: Comforting the distraught

depression

I don’t need your hammer and nails, I need your loving embrace

I don’t need your promises of a better tomorrow, I need your presence today

The solutions are within me, I just need you to love me until I find them

I don’t need you to fix me, I just need to know you’ll wait patiently as I put myself back together

Let me know that even though I’m temporarily broken you still see me as complete

Oracle Card of the week 3/12

IMG_1714Two cards popped up for the week ahead! Keep your heart open to love and forgiveness. We may encounter difficult people looking to start fresh. We’re advised to be forgiving and optimistic for a better, stronger outcome. No one benefits from you holding onto anger. Especially not you.

Higher Sight: Giraffes as animal Totems

My fiance’ and I were on a hurried road trip to a place I understood to be the answer to our prayers. The idea of stopping for anything on the way was immediately rejected. We arrived at a gothic mansion by the lake and rushed to open the large wooden doors. Upon opening the doors to go inside we found ourselves walking in a lush meadow full of healthy foliage, mountain streams and a wild herd of giraffes. An immediate wave of peace and wonder came over me, until they started stampeding in our direction. Then I woke up in a pool of sweat.

Giraffes appear in our psyche as a representation of the big picture view. They urge us to align with divine perspective, the understanding of every little step along the way being important. Not just the end result. In my dream we were rushing to an end point. Avoiding any lessons and blessings that could have been at a nearby coffee shop, the truck stop or national park.

In life we need to learn to take our time and be present for everything. So often we ignore the blessings in our current situation on the way to the next big thing. This destination syndrome is killing our happiness and stunting our growth. If stretched ourselves a little higher we’d see things are all in perfect order exactly as they are. Let’s all work a little harder to see from a little taller like the majestic giraffe.

Choosing Your Reaction: A Revolution in Conflict

happiness-challenge

Congratulations! You’re finally feeling completely grounded in who you are, where you’re going and what you need to do to get there. You’ve tapped into the unshakable mindset of inner peace and happiness. However, being a human being on planet earth you naturally encounter others that aren’t on your same level. This may even be someone near and dear to your heart.

Your choice of peace will challenge others. You will trigger those with anger in their hearts to become loud and try to pull you out of your zen mindset. Keep on the path of peace. The more powerful and unmovable you become in the choice to be peaceful, joyful, loving and understanding eventually those around you will not be able to help but align with the stability you put out into the world.

You are waging the most loving war, a revolution for peace. It all begins with your choice.

Oracle card of the week! 2/26

image1-3

The energy this past week has been aggressive and agitating. We’ve been thrown curve balls and obstacles that have brought us to our knees. All to be expected with a build up of such grand cosmic energy. When we’re on the bring of something new we often have to grow to fit the next step. This week we’re encouraged to view the challenges we’ve faced and conquered in a positive light. By learning and growing we get closer to our goals. From this point on instead of cursing the heavens for your setbacks question and seek out the potential positives. Look for the light at the end of the dark tunnel this week and you’ll breath easy.
